Applied evidence for materials in use.
The Journal of Applied Textiles is a new publishing initiative grounded in the realities of textile development and manufacturing. It exists to connect rigorous observation with decisions that matter in production and end use.
Aims & scope
JAT welcomes original research, critical reviews, technical notes and transparent case studies in textile structures, fibres and yarns, functional finishing, coloration and printing, testing and performance, circular materials, interior and hospitality textiles, manufacturing quality and responsible production.
Work may be laboratory, field or production based. Every paper should make methods, evidence, limitations and practical relevance clear.
Founding status
The journal is currently in its founding phase. It does not yet claim an ISSN, DOI registration, indexing, impact factor or membership of a publishing body. These details will appear only when formally established.
Editorials and commissioned perspectives are labelled separately from peer-reviewed material. Publication decisions are kept distinct from commercial product promotion.
Editorial principles
- Evidence before promotion.Commercial relevance cannot replace reproducible methods or defensible analysis.
- Transparent status.Review status, conflicts, corrections and limitations must be visible.
- Useful detail.Authors should provide enough material and process information for expert evaluation.
- Respect for people and planet.Human, environmental and supply-chain claims require appropriate evidence.
